Mother’s Day Speaker – Rev. Naomi Andrews

Church of the Covenant will have a guest preacher on May 13. She is Rev. Naomi Andrews, who is currently serving at First Christian Church of Atlanta in Georgia. While previously living in Lynchburg, she attended Euclid Christian Church along with pastoring Olive Branch Christian church, than a new church start in downtown Lynchburg.
Andrews is a native of Georgetown, Guyana, located in South America, and has been a citizen of the Unites States for more than 44 years. Her pursuit of biblical studies led her to Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Education. She also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. She has now earned a Ph.D. degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Liberty University.
Prior to coming to Lynchburg, she served as a student chaplain at Barnes Jewish Extended Care, and as Associate Pastor at Southern Mission Baptist Church; Saint Louis, Missouri. She did much volunteer work serving as Chaplain at many correctional facilities throughout Georgia.
Rev. Andrews has received many honors marking her accomplishments in outreach ministries for which she was the director. While in Saint Louis, Rev. Andrews developed programs in support of the seniors within the congregation she served, and at Barnes Extended Care.
Rev. Andrews has been in ministry for more than 29 years. Her ministerial gifts in evangelism and preaching have drawn many, young and old, to the church where she was an active member.
