At Church of the Covenant we use the Mission Group model for doing ministry. These are small groups of both Church Members and outside participants who feel a call to a particular area of need in the larger community, who collectively work inwardly (spiritual) and outwardly (missional) to meet specific community needs.
The Haven Mission Group - a group who meets regularly to support each other's individual spiritual growth (inward journey) in context with a calling to support the mission (outward journey) of The Haven, a peer based addiction recovery program.
Unity Mission - a new group seeking out the unifying elements of spiritual practices through study (inward) and fellowship together and then seeing how to live out this spirit of unity in the world around them.
This budding mission group actively integrates quality spiritual exploration with art creation. They meet weekly at the Lodge (reach out for meeting times).
